Vast open planes of Diamantina National Park seem to reach the horizon! Diamantina used to be an idyllic place on earth and in 1992 it was declared a National Park. This Park is spread for about 500.000 hectares. 

Diamantina National Park seems to be immensely large. It is stretched over high sandy range of uphills in the East to flooded regions of Diamantina rivers and to grasslands and dunes in the West.

For such a fruitless dry place like it is Diamantina National Park has significant number of various animals, and among them there are protected endangered species. Fauna of this Park includes not only reptiles and amphibians, bust also mammals.

Diamanta National Park contains places of cultural importance, among which there are dwellings of aborigines.

There a lot of opportunities for starting some adventures at Diamanta National Park. Canoe riding, fishing,  observe animals and especially birds, go for a walk or just duing the sights.
