Discover Queensland’s adventure precinct with Riverlife. Located just 2km from the CBD at the base of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Riverlife provides a diverse and affordable range of adventure leisure activities in Brisbane every day. They offer activities such as kayaking and pumpabiking on the Brisbane River, rock climbing and abseiling on the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, mountain biking, rollerblading and much more.
Visitors to Brisbane now have the opportunity to meet the local tribes through Riverlife Mirrabooka - a traditional aboriginal cultural experience with actual descendants of local tribal families.
Riverlife operates from two riverfront locations; its Head Quarters at Kangaroo Point within the heritage listed Naval Stores (built 1887) and on the Clem Jones Promenade at South Bank, helping visitors experience the best of what Australia has to offer!
Riverlife also has a number of riverfront event spaces for up to 500 guests (including a permanent marquee) which offer spectacular views of the river, city skyline, Botanical Gardens and sunset.

KAYAKING - Beginners to experienced paddlers discover the attraction and excitement of kayaking on the Brisbane River as they kayak past the CBD, Botanical Gardens, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Southbank, and other local landmarks. Riverlife also offers night kayaking.
BARAMBAH ON THE BRISBANE RIVER – SATURDAY NIGHT KAYAKING AND WINE TASTING – Try night kayaking from RIverlife; each kayak is fitted with a custom made light which gently illuminates the paddler for up to 600m. Upon return guests are treated to finger food and wine tasting on Riverlife’s riverfront deck overlooking the city.
ROCK CLIMBING - Challenge yourself and experience the unique natural beauty of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Riverlife’s qualified instructors teach you the essential skills for rock climbing. Riverlife also offers night rock climbing on selected nights.
ABSEILING - Stand back and enjoy the breathtaking views of Brisbane as Riverlife’s experienced instructors help you conquer your fears and guide you safely over the edge of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.
MOUNTAIN BIKING – Cycle for fun or fitness and discover the hundreds of kilometres of Brisbane bike paths. Stop off at city sights, Southbank or the Botanical Gardens. Riverlife provides all equipment.
ROLLERBLADING – Enjoy this exciting and dynamic way to get around town. Riverlife’s instructors teach you the basics of inline skating in a fun, crash-friendly environment, providing all equipment.
PUMPABIKING – A PumpaBike is a self propelled hydrofoil that glides along the top of the water. What makes this experience more exciting is if your pants stay dry on your first attempt, your session is free!
RIVERLIFE SOUTH BANK – Riverlife South Back operates kayaking, PumpaBiking and rollerblading, and is ideal for tourists staying in the precinct as the site is only a short walk from South Bank's hotels and resorts. Riverlife South Bank operates on Saturdays and Sundays.
RIVERLIFE MIRRABOOKA – Riverlife Mirrabooka is an interactive experience with the local Brisbane Nunukul Yuggera Indigenous Tribe. Performances combine traditional song and dance, use of didgeridoo and clap sticks and audience involvement. Riverlife Mirrabooka is open to all ages and runs on selected days during the evening.
Participants need to be a minimum of 8 years.
Riverlife is situated in a unique location a stones throw away from the CBD, and provides free locker facilities, free showers, free parking, and free sunscreen. We also have drinks, ice creams and light snacks available for purchase.
