Accomodation

In this category we would like to introduce all types of accommodation (i.e. hotels, motels, Bed & Breakfast, guesthouses). Of course you can book rooms of the large hotel chains via their own web pages. But small hotels and low-priced accommodation cannot be booked at German travel agencies. In particular a stay at a classic Bed & Breakfast or a hotel in the country is a must for each outback-trip.

There is a wide range of accommodation suitable for every budget in the cities and in the country. In the large cities you can find the large international hotel chains as well as low-budget guesthouses and youth hostels (backpackers).

The hotel categories comply with the international standards. They are described in the standard Star system.
Bed & Breakfasts (B&B’s) also offer good and reasonably priced accommodation. Homestay B& B’s and Farmstay B&B’s do not only offer cheap accommodation but also provide meals cooked by the host. The joint meals give you the opportunity to get to know the host. You might even get an insider tip for the area. We recommend to always book B & B’s in advance. Motels and country hotels cater more for spontaneous accommodation. Both provide rather functional and simple furnished rooms. For that reason the accommodation is in most cases rather cheap. Simpler motels or country hotels might have no air-conditioning in their rooms. Rooms can also be quite noisy depending on the location of the motel or hotel.
