Korotogo: Experience Glass, Forest and Sea
Accommodation in Korotogo
Korotogo brings together hands-on crafts, park activities and seaside experiences. At the Hot Glass Fiji glassblowing studio, visitors can make their own glass piece; at Kula WILD Adventure Park, rides travel through the forest, and at the Sunset Strip, walking and snorkelling are also options. This lets you tailor your stay to different interests: you can focus on a creative experience, explore the park’s attractions or experience the coastline on foot and in the water.
Make Your Own Glass
Hot Glass Fiji is a glassblowing studio and gallery on the Sunset Strip in Korotogo. During the basic glassblowing experience, visitors have the opportunity to make their own glass piece after an introduction and demonstration. The experience lasts about 30 minutes per person—a specific time frame for this activity. If you want to plan a creative experience, this includes more than a demonstration: it also gives you the chance to make a glass piece yourself.
The Extended Glass Blowing Experience includes several specific hands-on steps. Visitors can gather, blow, shape and colour molten glass to create their own pieces. Comparing the two formats can help you choose: the basic experience combines an introduction, a demonstration and making a piece; the Extended Experience focuses on the individual steps involved in working with glass. Check the booking details for the Extended Experience before your trip.
Rides and Turtles at Kula WILD Adventure Park
Kula WILD Adventure Park is in Korotogo. Kula’s Krazy Canopy Flier travels down through the forest on a roller-coaster-style track from the treetops. By contrast, Kula’s Splash Mountain Jungle Slide is a fast, wet ride down through the forest. You can distinguish between the two rides by how they move: one follows a track from the treetops, while the other is a wet descent. This is a specific comparison to consider when deciding what kind of park activity interests you.
Another activity in the park is hand-feeding hawksbill turtles. If you want to plan this experience, check the visitor schedule before your trip. A 2019 travel article also mentioned a free, hands-on environmental education programme for student groups at the park.
Walk or Snorkel at the Sunset Strip
At the Sunset Strip in Korotogo, you can go for a walk by the sea or snorkel. This coastal area offers two different options: you can walk along the sea or choose an activity in the water. For planning purposes, this is a clear distinction between a walk on land and snorkelling at the same named coastal area.
Tailor Your Accommodation Search to Your Interests
If you are travelling with family and want to accommodate different preferences, you can organise the experiences by the type of participation you want: making glass yourself, enjoying the park rides, or walking by the sea and snorkelling. This lets you first decide what kind of experience you want your trip to centre on, then tailor your search for a hotel at the destination.
