This perspective adds the area’s long history to the museum and art, explicitly naming the Woi-Wurrung and the Wurundjeri-Willam.
Another artistic highlight is Tabula Rasa at the Broadmeadows Community Hub. The work consists of 64 small school chalkboards from the now-demolished Campmeadows Primary School. The boards’ origins give the work a specific connection to the former school. Thus, alongside the museum’s collection and exhibitions, there is also a single artwork with a clearly identified material history.
